I'd like to hear you say that again should you ever be in a position such as theirs, either to help or be helped.

Helping is great but if he is really just plain going to pay the cost of her treatment then he is a nut. He could right now still buy insurance for her because there is the no denial for pre existing conditions but is he? If she just works less most of the bills would be covered by medicaid and he can just help with expenses which wouldn't bankrupt him. He doesn't need to sell his place to help and there is no reason that he has to pay for the whole treatment which is what they seem to be trying to suggest. Heck she also doesn't need help to get treatment. We don't without treatment because of a persons lack of ability to pay so it's not to save her life. She would get the treatment anyway. Personally I think the reporter most likely screwed up the story so who knows whats up but if the facts are as described it's stupid.
