Problem is, the holes in the grips do not line up with the frame studs on my colt. It isn't by much, and I think I can file the hole a bit larger. This is my first time altering pewter, and looking for advise on file type to use. I have a 5" tapered slim file that might work. Any advise would be appreciated!

I bought some on ebay and I had the same issue. The holes would not line up and I decided to "modify" the holes a bit and ended up throwing them into my spare parts box because the holes just didnt look "right". Ordered some VZ grips and was happy. :) Good luck getting them lined up. :)
