Picked it up at a Dallas gun shop yesterday for $399 plus I'll get a $30 rebate from S&W so I think I got a pretty good deal. After a lot of reading (in particular, Ed Lovette's The Snubby Revolver) I decided on this as a pocket carry back-up gun. I figure it will become my primary carry due to better concealment than my Kimber Pro Carry.
Like they say, it's better to have a .38 (+P) on you than a .45 at home.

    Happy New Year Everyone.

That is a wonderful deal. I did the same and purchased 1 for my wife and myself. Very handy. What ammo are you using?

That is what I have in mine!

I also have a box of DoubleTap 38+P and that creates a blast of fun!

That is some expensive ammo, paid $27 for a box of 25 rounds. I also ordered the Mika round and square cut pocket holsters, too. Robert said it would take 8 weeks or so.
What ammo are you using for target practice? Wadcutters? I thought it would be alot cheaper than my .45 ammo but it looks about the same.

    Congrats!

I like the SGDHP short bbl ammo as well.

I am working through the WWB from china-mart for training ammo.

I am looking forward to some snubby training with Ed Lovette next year. He has a lot of great experience to share.
