Would it have been any better if he was a Christian? I honestly don't see how that is even relevant. Will any crime committed by a Muslim these days be linked to some jihad?

By the way, since you brought it up, I see where his suicide note asked for God’s forgiveness (not Allah’s), and in it he prayed that Jesus “wakes me up from the sleep of death into life.” Doesn't sound like the typical jihadist to me!

Back on topic, kudos to Third Sgt. Marcio Alexandre Alves and his colleague (wonder why they don't name him as well?) for risking their own lives to save the students! The report said the gunman was heavily armed, but they stormed into the school and confronted him. That took guts, and I am glad they are getting the recognition they deserve!
