    Evidence of drug use (local news). I SURE hope it isn't found out that they didn't search him before putting him in the vehicle. The only other thing I can think of would be him attacking a police officer and gaining control of the officer's weapon. An atrocity, either way.

    Two lives ruined as a direct result, and more lives than we'll ever know, ruined indirectly.

    OF COURSE, condolences to the fallen officer's family. But the suspect's family are, as we speak, in a special sort of hell that it's unlikely they did anything to deserve.

    Agreed. I was stunned when I saw his name. I grew up in Seguin. I know the dad. Went to high school with him. He was a good friend and all around nice guy. Although I haven't seen him in many years, my heart goes out to him and the fallen officer.
