Has anyone here first hand experience with Briley Manufacturing? I've seen very few reviews (Google, Yellowpages) and they range over a wide period of time and from excellent to dismal, in terms of customer service, timeliness, and ease of dealing with. I need to get a Cominolli safety and night sights installed on a Glock 19. Cominolli lists only Briley as a Houston "authorized" installer.

If you've had work done by Briley, what is your experience?

    Thanks.

Are they somehow diff then other sights?
The night sights are really a non-issue. I could get them done any number of places. The Cominolli safety is the tricky part, as the installer needs a special cutting jig and tools. That's why I'm focused on Briley, as they are the designated installer in Houston.

I had them cut my O/U shotgun muzzles for screw-in chokes a couple years back. The work was done perfectly and they shipped back my barrels in a better container than I'd sent them - 1 day ahead of schedule.

I have no idea about their pistol skills, sorry.

I have good luck and bad luck with them.

Bad: I would never recommend that someone use their barrel porting services. Had a gun done by them, and the vents are slightly off center. Every shotgun I have had ported since then has gone to MagnaPort.

Good: I have a couple sets of their tubes for my O/U.

Good: had trigger work done: got rid of the inertia trigger safety (so it would work with .410 shells).

Good: had the auto safety removed (because those things annoy me).

Good, had a mercury tube installed in the stock and recoil pad installed.

Good: had choke tubes installed in a CZ O/U.

Good: had a recoil pad installed on a SxS by them.

Bad: recommend to a buddy to have his auto-safety disabled. They disconnected the lever, and left it in the action. I was at the range when the gun locked up due to that. Was also at Briley when he chewed their asses out for it :) They fixed their mistake right then.

Good: like their choke tubes and selection of shotgunning supplies.

    Bad: they are pretty expensive.

Heard from member here of good experience with their pistol work.

Good: for the most part their customer service is pretty good.
