First impression.
x-treme, 55gr, fmjbt, m-193
under 50 bucks for 500 to my door.
I weighed 10 (5%) and found a very consistent 55.2gr. Maybe 2 of ten at 55.1.
Diameter measured at .2240 on every one just below the canellure.
Looks like nice stuff.

Midway dogtown 55gr fbhp.
Nearly 70 bucks for 500 to my door.
Weights were also very consistent at 55.2gr.
Diameters measured from .2235 to .2238. Not a big difference but a lack of consistency.
Hopefully they shoot well enough.

I'll load these over a charge of CFE223 and let y'all know how they pan out.

Looking forward to your results and impressions of the X-Tremes. I just got 500 of them also and am going to try some out this weekend. I'm putting them over IMR 4064 though as that is all I've been able to find.

had customers ask me about "X-Tremes" because of a vendor selling them (more for we sold Hornady and Sierra for) but I've never seen them on the wholesale market nor have I had any experience with customer feedback on the end user side. looking forward to more posts here. Subscribed.

I have been using H335 powder on all my 223 rounds. I read somewhere it was a great powder, and I have had great luck with it. My daughter (the best shot in the house) shoots sub-1" groups at 100yds.

Thanks for the research Vaquero!

I need to order some, and the price is right on those.

I haven't found the need to use premium bullets at distances out to 200 yards. After 200 yards, it's all about bullet consistency and keeping the projectile supersonic all the way to the target. Once the bullet drops below the sound barrier, shock waves will divert the bullet up, down or to either side.

Midway Dogtown bullets are great!

Source? Local, mail order, or internet?

Twist rate through which to be shot?

I'd love to find a great bullet for a 1-7 twist barrel. Right now, I am stuck on Hornady 68 grain BTHP Match and they surely don't match your price point. Have not found any more lately, so am loading and shooting what little I still have on hand.

Nonetheless, when loaded on top of 23.0 grains of AA2230, the Hornady is the most accurate load I have ever cobbled together.

I had a 15% off code. I'll see if it's still useable.

If you're referring to dogtown, they're midway branded.
