Bullethole in Sanantonio

Any thoughts on the bullethole. Thinking about going there.

I have a standing boycott of that place. I used to shoot there a long time ago, but after several safety issues that went unresolved after being reported to the staff, I decided it wasn't worth risking my life.

It once was a decent place many years ago when the original owner was still alive, Vern was his name if I remember correctly; but once he passed, it went downhill.

I went. It was a crap hole. They told me it was a felony to shoulder my cz scorpion with a stabilizer.

I had a buddy who bought an annual family membership at the Bullethole for years. He shot there almost every weekend.

One day they suddenly told him he could no longer collect his own brass, that it belonged to them.

He ended his membership right there and then.

When I saw the thread, I thought to myself, “What’d they do this time?!”

I haven’t been back in over 5 years. Looks like they’re still garbage.

I also used to shoot there many years ago, my membership card is like under 50. Knew Vern very well and did attend his funeral. Had a really fun evening pistol league. Interesting targets, like shooting at life size images of coins, dimes to quarters, at 3 feet. Try it, it is NOT as easy as it sounds. Then I ended up going to the Austin area 10 years ago, have not been back that way.

www.lonestarhandguns.com is my preferred SATX area range these days. It’s further away from me than several other ranges, but worth the drive IMO.

There are some nice new indoor ranges but they are pricey...

I usually go to Bracken Range. Haven't had any issues. Lone Star is closed on Sundays. My only day to shoot.
