I ended up buying a Savage MK II BGV-XP. Gray laminate hardwood stock, heavy barrel with scope already mounted. It was $299. I looked up the scope and from Bushnell they sell it for about $50 bucks.

More than what I wanted to spend, but it's a really nice rifle in my opinion. At first I wasn't so sure about the gray wood, but it's growing on me. The accu-trigger felt great in the store and I can't wait to get out to the range this weekend.

I suppose I need to get a .22 brush and clean the barrel before shooting? How bout the bolt area too? Do combo deals like this typically come zero'd from the factory?

not sure if it will be zeroed, but alot of times new guns have 'packing grease' globs int he action or barrels, id give it a good wipedown atleast run a few patches through.
dont sweat to much though... but definatly give a good spot check.
