A couple of weekends ago I was out shooting my M70 and had a malfunction. Very first one out of 2k rounds. I had just grabbed a stash of loaded mags to take to the range. I cleared the malfunction, rocked the mag back in and charged it and another jam. Looked at the mag and realized it was an old Crapco. I do hope Tapco starts making G2 triggers again. Those AK triggers were nice.

Which was funny when I transitioned from Kalashnikov-based rifle to ARs a little over a year ago.

In the former community, plastic mags are not recommended outside range use.

In the latter, Magpul dominates the market.

while just about every AR I see is 'Bubbed up', or a 'Frankenstein' build.
Like holey crap, the SKS is a frigging $100 surplus rifle, made in some Turd World country.
And to some people think an SKS is worth more than what you can buy a new AR for...

You're definition of bubba'd might be different. I know there's a whole world of fuckery out there but you don't typically see AR's with JB welded accessories.

You definitely can buy a new AR for less than an SKS nowadays. It ain't 1997 anymore.

Just makes it worse. Why would someone spend a bunch of money on a $100 surplus rifle to make it only partially (and I use that term loosely) as good as even a $300 domestic rifle?
