Anyone ever use the ranges at Camp Bullis in the SA area?

If so, how accessable are they?

    Do they have any steel?

    Fees?

Unfortunately, Camp Bullis is closed to all civilians for shooting. For active military or retired, though, it's not bad. $25.00 a year membership, 100 meter range for rifle and pistol, open weekends from 10-2.

Ahhhh.... Camp Bullis! I actually got to practice running a bulldozer building a couple of those ranges back in the mid-80's.

Hey guys: Know what the difference between a Conservative and a Liberal is?

    Answer:

A conservative will tell you what he thinks, why they thinks that way, and why he thinks he is right for thinking that way.

A liberal will tell you what you think, why you think that way, and how he knows that you are wrong for thinking that way.

I spent a month at Camp Bullis in 1975. It was a bit rustic then and still belonged to the Army. Officers had little trailers.
We lived in tents ate out of mess kits or K-rations. There was a range but the Air Force could not use it, so we fired blanks in the woods.
Its hard to find amongst the shopping centers and houses now.
We had to drive 20+ miles to the Waterhole #3 for any fun.
I have a picture posted on the links page of a little site I have
    UDORN R.T.A.F.B..

Well, I can certainly understand why they would not let the Air Force carry live ammo.... LOL. Just kidding my friend.... after all, the difference between the Army and the Air Force is that the Army's Officer plan the attack and send the enlisted off to fight.... the Air Force enlisted prepare the planes and send the officer off to fight.

You gotta admit it.... the Air Force has got the right idea.
