For years, even longer than I've had my motorcycle, I've had intermittent ant problems both inside & out. They are very small, look similar to crazy Rasberries but I think they are different because they don't constantly have the sporadic movement. I haven't had them inside the house or car for more than a year but I see them all over my property outside.

It's rare but after I ride in the dark and catch a ton of bugs then park, an absolute swarm of these ants are on the bike within an hour. Spraying brake cleaner at contact points to pavement after parking seems to be my best defense, does anyone have a better solution?

    Bifen IT works pretty good,

but i think the best has been a Fipronil banded spray treatment. only starting to get a few ant piles again 6 years after i sprayed the yard
    Bifen IT
Taurus - (this is the fipronil)

be careful with this shit, it is basically nerve gas.

Go to an Asian market and get ant chalk.

Draw a line around each tire, ants won’t cross the line.

You just go to Lowe’s and buy ant spray. Some keep killing for days.

I don’t remember what I got but it works great.

I parked my corvette under a tree during a storm 2 summers ago and colony of carpenter ants (tiny black ones) decided to make it a home. I damn near tore out the whole interior looking for them. Found the nest under my fuse box in the fender liner. Little bastards. They are attracted to electronic heat.

Maybe you're a big ole boy but carpenter ants aren't tiny.

Getting in to the electronics of my bike or car is what most worries me most about the ants I have. They are so small and their bite/sting so minimal, I often don't know they are on me until there are 20+ crawling around.
