    "Sec. 46.02. Unlawful Carrying Weapons.
    (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
    (1) on the person's own premises or premises under the person's control; or
    (2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control.
    (a-1) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun in a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control at any time in which:
    (1) the handgun is in plain view, unless the person is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and the handgun is carried in a shoulder or belt holster;"


    does this mean that i cannot car carry unlicensed? i am under 21 and unlicensed.

    I'm still perplexed why this question appears in "commercial posting & advertising ".

    Keep the hand gun out of view and don't commit a felony while traveling with it in the car.

    That's legal per the questions you've asked.

    You do not "carry" in your privately owned vehicle, it is covered under the Castle Doctrine as being part of your "castle" or home.

    You do not "carry" in your privately owned vehicle, it is covered under the Castle Doctrine as being part of your "castle" or home.

    Nope, it's under the 2007 Motorist Protection Act. As long as you are legally permitted to own (note: not buy) a firearm and the vehicle belongs to you, then you may have it concealed in your vehicle in Texas.

    There is no age restriction listed in that act beyond the one to legally possess a firearm.
