Going to do some load progression for my 16" Winchester lever carbine to try to get a good solid subsonic load for these for pig killing in the brush.
I cast them from a general "hardball" lead that I concocted, and dropped them in water to quench harden them. Hopefully it helps aid in penetration and lets the nose of the bullet push meat (and or bone) out of the way.
My Lyman 49th seems to think that 6.2grs of titegroup would put them just over 1000fps, so I might back that off by a tenth for some of them to throw through the chrono to see if it helps keep things more consistently below "crack" velocities.
Anyways, here's a pic of them lubed and waiting powder dropped in the cases before final loading.
