[Central TX] WTB/WTTF Savage long action stock

I am looking for a long action stock for my Savage rifle (110, 111, etc.).

Specifically, a stock with a good pistol grip. Choate tactical/ varmint, HS or similiar. Higher end is fine too.

Blind mag or box mag style. Doesn't matter, I will make it work.

I have the standard black hunting style Accustock and it just doesn't fit me very well shooting prone. Pistol grips fit me much better.

Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Cash, ammo (have .22lr), my stock in a swap, whatever. Just let me know.

Will even deal on a whole rifle if the deal is right.

Left handed shooter with right handed rifle so thumbhole stocks won't work for me.

I know of places online that have them available but I want to find something local. Prefer from an individual FTF but a store is fine also.

In Lampasas specifically but will travel or cover shipping as needed.

I don't have a stock but wouldn't any stock you get also have to be an Accustock as the action and recoil lug is designed differently than a regular savage 110/111 stock?

Mine is just two screws and no wedge. It does have an aluminum block and is pillar bedded though.

I am not positive but I think the wedge style is gone. Maybe not the short actions but I don't know for sure.

I don't think the long actions ever had the wedge. Again, not positive.

I looked up the torque settings to reassemble it and never saw anything about the wedge in the long actions.

Ah ok I have a short action 22-250 FCV that's a few years old. It has the wedge.

My research shows that Savage only used the wedge for a short time and got rid of it. Patent issues are the rumor. Plus many people ditched the wedge anyways.

Well I know mine is a rock solid platform and is well capable of shooting .5 MOA groups at 100 yards, so I'm not going to mess with what is working.

I completely understand.

My rifle shoots very well also. It is just uncomfortable to shoot. The stock angle is too steep for my build.
