chamber me 260

due to the extreme shortage of the m1a. is there a reliable semi auto that can be chamberd in 260 rem. ?

Probably Remington's R-25 but they do not list that as a standard caliber. It would be a good platform though for that cartridge. http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire_rifles/Model_R-25.asp

Any .308 platform gun could be re-chambered so long as you can get an aftermarket or OEM barrel for it. The bolt assembly and action would be the same.
