If a shop is going to be harsh on the FFL transfers, I'll find another retailer when I want to buy local - and I like to buy local. Forum sponsor Cypress Armory has always done right by me, so I'll continue to buy there. Seems like every time I go in there I come home with something new, but I've only used them for one transfer.

I HATE going into a store for a transfer. It just says I didn't buy from you.

So I typically try and buy something such as mags for the gun or something I know will be a higher margin accessory.

But the last guy, I did not. He told me some yarn about how his off brand pos 1911 mags are colt mags without the stamp.

Chriastian is his name, he's close to mason and 99, by the new movie theatre.

    Tell him Ed sent ya

Picked up my Texas Flag lower and other parts from Christian earlier this evening. He was a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone on the west side of town.

Just found Gulf Coast Firearms in Spring. $17.50 Not bad!

Houston Gun Forum does it for $10 but they don't accept Glocks!

In my best Reverend All voice:

"Let us protest this abomination of discrimination against an all black gun!"

    Sent from an undisclosed location.

    LOL !

Seems like they're not gun-racist but maybe just don't like people buying them somewhere else?

I'm told that 10Ring does transfers for $20.

I wouldn't mind sending stuff there as much as I would a 'normal' gun store because most of their business is reloading supplies, and most (all?) of the guns that they have on hand to sell are consignments.

There's a guy here in Kingwood that does them for 'tips'. The tips go towards his daughter's US Gymnastics Summer Camp.

Pasadena Gun center does them for $25 for non CHL holders and $15 if you have a CHL.

The outside of the building looks wore out but the dudes inside are good to go, I've been going there for years without a problem
