Got these from a supposed reputable EBay seller, never really get anything off there but someone had these in stock.

Doesn't look like any new dies I've ever seen.

    Out here by the lake!
NOS! Yeah they don't look like the latest ones leaving the factory. Contact RCBS my guess they can tell you how old they are bu a few pictures, including the box label.

Call them, RCBS has the best customer service in the industry, in my experience. And no, they don't look new, finish wear is visible. Unless they suit your needs and were a good price, I'd open a case against the seller. Unfortunately many sellers (and often, buyers) on Ebay have no idea what they are buying or selling, or current price/value. My favorite listing was an older, fairly well worn RCBS Jr press and a die set for $600. Seller relisted it at least once or twice!

I'm not sure how this is RCBS"s problem
It looks like the Ebay seller lied about the condition of the dies and he needs to take them back for a refund.

There are buyer protections on Ebay

PayPal also sides with the buyer on such matters.
    You’ve got a legit claim.

    A few scuffs? Meh.

I am guessing you didn't pay new prices so big deal.

Unless they are actually damaged just use them. You are going to scuff them up anyways.

RCBS is great as far as replacing stuff and they don't care how old or where it came from.

Dillon is said to be the same but the entry fee is not in my wheelhouse. Hornady, well, you may have to call a few times to get someone who knows what the rest of the business world is doing.

We'll see how Redding goes, or not! Maybe buying new is the way to go. A new experience for mikey!

morning, what caliber? now much did u pay for these dies?
these r match grade reloading dies. by the grey box they r RCBS.
I have paid over $100 for these dies in 340wbee.
target and long range shooters use these dies.
    I have them in 223, 243, 257, 6.5,308, 7mm mag, 300wm,
340wbee. very good for metering bullet seating depth.
the seating depth greatly effects accuracy.

The die bodies look to be new or very close to it. The micrometer knob obviously isn’t.

Is it possible these were standard dies and someone put a micrometer adjustment on it?

I’ve never seen a window cut in a die body like that though.
