Those are all no-carry (if the government building is a court) even without the sign. The 30-06 sign is for places where it's not otherwise illegal to carry. You also can't carry in a place of worship.

Churches, Hospitals, and Amusement parks all have to post 30.06. You might see 46.035 (b)(4) (b)(5) and (b)(6) and stop there thinking these places are verboten but don't forget it's later modified by (i) so these sections do not apply if CHL holders were not given notice under 30.06. It's not a very well written law but you can see where they originally prohibited carry but then just later added section (i) to add the posting requirement.

Doesn't the sign have to be "displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to the public"? If you honestly don't see it, wouldn't it, by definition, not be displayed etc, if you don't see it on entry?

Personally, my standard is if I notice it. If I don't, it's not conspicuously posted thus not a conforming sign. If I'm given oral notice, I politely and briefly confirm their intent, and if so confirmed, immediately make my exist.

I disagree (that it would, by definition, not be conspicuous). But I don't think there's precedent, and I have no interest in being a test case.

edit: italics, I'm still half asleep

Just because YOU didn't see does not mean it is not conspicuous. If you are arrested, a jury of your peers will decide if the sign was placed within the law. So you deciding that YOU are the judge of what s conspicuous is dangerous, and shows a lack of understanding of how the law works.

As I won't be bailing you out of jail, I really don't care what you do.

Conspicuous is like pain, it is relative to the person.

What is conspicuous to me may be hidden to you.

We have a little store in Angleton that I have been going to for years.
Just the other day I saw the 30.06 sign.

As it turns out it has been there for years, just covered partially by a bush.

I still do business there, but I don't carry there anymore.

Here is the 30.06 sign on the door of my office.

    PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL
CODE (TRESPASS BY HOLDER OF A
    LICENSE TO CARRY A CONCEALED
    HANDGUN) A PERSON LICENSED
    UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER
    411, GOVERNMENT CODE
    (CONCEALED HANDGUN LAW), IS
    MORE THAN WELCOME TO ENTER
    THIS PROPERTY.

    Its in english only.
