"We don't need no stinking badges!!!" Sorry, couldn't resist.
Anyway, I was looking around on GB auction site, and Came across a "Texas Concealed Handgun" badge.
I am curious if anyone on here carries one? Also, is it just a novelty? Any LEO out there with input on them?

    San Antonio!
They're a joke, you see them sometimes for sale at gun shows; but no self-respecting CHL holder would carry one.

If anything, depending on circumstances flashing one could be construed as impersonating a public servant, a third degree felony under section §37.11 of the state Penal Code.

This is all to funny, I had a friend that lived in Orlando that had a badge he would wear and show people and would get v.I.p treatment and free drinks etc. at certian establishment's. Come to find out he was impersonating a D.E.A Agent for the last 10 years and is now locked up...

I would never have a badge, or wear anything that stated I was anything that I'm not.Even if it was just a " novelty " item.
