I took the class at Bullet Hole back in Oct of 07. Ted Bonnet was the instructor and he kept it interesting. Back then it cost only $75 with everything included. I couldn't find anyplace less than $125 in Austin so even with $20 in gas it was a good deal.
I did the class there in Feb 08. It was very crowded but I think the class went ok. The owner is an older lady in her 60s. Her daughter taught the class. They seem to deal with chaos pretty well. The facility is kind of run down (an old trailer) but functionally, the class is very organized and well conducted. The shooting test is not hard at all. (I saw a lady shoot someone elses target and still pass!) I shoot there often because I live close to there. Checked the DPS website today and saw that my application is COMPLETE! (sent my packet in in Nov --- Don't wait that long to send it in)
I don't have my plastic ID yet, but took 59 days to change status from "processing" to "complete".
