Mine was given to me as an early Christmas present by my sons. They took my old warhorse SKS and gave her a new body or furniture as described by the SKS experts. It really gave an old, throw behind the truck seat hog gun a new position in my arsenal. Fun & cheap to shoot, accurate and dependable...one of my favorite fun guns.
My Xmas included a mini-14 stainless, Bushnell 1x32 MP red dot scope, and a Weigand Ranch+ scope mount to put it together. Went to WalMart this morning and picked up their last box of 223 ammo. Grandson and I will head out to the Bexar Community range when it opens at noon. I'm going to zero it in with the installed sights (ghost ring), and then install and zero the red dot on another day. I'll take a couple of pics while we're at the range and see I can figure out how to post.
Merry Xmas to all, especially those with nifty new weapons to play with.
Grandson & I had a great time at the range with the mini-14, and was it ever crowded. The mini-14 isn't a tack driver, but we did manage to keep it on the paper at 100yds. I'm anxious to get the Bushnell 1x32 MP red dot installed and see what happens.
I didn't get any new firearms...though Mrs. AzP bought me a couple of cases of 7.62 NATO for my G3, and she got a XD-9SC from me. with extra mags and 2 cases of 9mm.
Oh, she bought me 30 mags for the aforementioned G3....
