Obama wants us driving econoboxes. The Fiat/Chrysler mess is simply Obama taking advantage of a failing US automaker and handing it over to Fiat so they will have easy entry in the US market for their econoboxes. Nothing more, nothing less. The HEMI will be toast, the VIPER will be toast and you can bet the Fiat 500, in some shape or form, will become a Chrysler dealership staple. Hope and change for everyone!

Chrysler has the lowest JD Powers survey results for a US Automaker for quality and cutomer satisfaction. Fiat has the equivalent lowest ratings for whoever does the rating in Europe. Therefore, they can only get better since they're both already at the bottom of the barrel . BTW, I own a Jeep and a Dodge PU and think both are great values, especially considering the discount I got on them at purchase.

Just FYI, those survey results are misleading as a way to judge how good a car is. Some very badly-built brands rate highly, some very well-built brands rate average or poorly, and some brands that sell exact clones are split between above and below average.

.............. I don't get it. There is a Toyota plant in San Antonio, and just about the only American beer left is Samuel Adams and Shiner Bock.

America is a horrible place to run a business.
And, apparently, it is only going to get harder.
Watch for more businesses to go elsewhere.
