The CA legislature should immediately pass a "Hog Free Zone" law & that law would work at least as well as the "Gun Free Zone" law does.
(Everybody knows that the "Gun Free Zone" signs have stopped all of the gun violence in CA & that LEFT coast state is now "as peaceful as a lamb".)
They will most likely hire professional trappers to curb the problem. Most of the hog population could have been controlled via hunting, but the state got greedy. You used to be able to just shoot them. Then the Department of Fish and Game wanted to know what kind of population of hogs were in state and various counties, and started charging $9.95 for 5 hog tags (you could buy as many books of tags as you wanted, but had to submit harvest card). When they saw the number of "books" being sold and the number of hogs being harvested, they adopted a new policy, $19.95 per tag. This stopped a lot of the hunters from pursuing them.
