Anyone else have a true classic pistol, rather than a modern clone?

This was my father's (and is now my) Colt 1911 (currently sports a 1911A1 grip safety as the orignial lets the hammer draw blood with each shot).

I have my grandfathers Randall 1911 and an original Colt peacemaker.I also aquired a Colt 1911 made in 1918(low serial number). These are my safe guns and do not get fired, but I take them out to clean and to show them off.

If by classic you mean old, I guess I have lots of classics! M1896 Mauser, Couple of old DA Colts, (Army Special and Official Police),I frame S&W, H&R Topbreaks, etc. The most modern design I have is a Kel-Tec P-11. Don't think I have anything else designed later than about 1950 or so.

I have a 1916 Colt that served my family in three different wars, One, Two and me in Viet Nam. Or as I think of it the South East Asia War Games. Apparently I was on the second place team.

That's possibly the coolest thing I've read in a while. That's got to have some sentimental value.

Apparently I was on the second place team.

Last time I checked the American team had the high score. It's the second stringers that couldn't hold it together. I seem to recall putting the Viet Cong out of commission at half time.

I approve of this thread, even though it is highly pornographic. That 1911 is showin' alot of skin.

My Colt Brazilian export, it has the patent roll marks on the slide and "C" serial numbered commercial frame. Interesting checkered MSH and trigger. Some surface rust a wear on the slide, but overall she's in good condition

I have my grandfathers Hi-Standard .22 semi-auto pistol, military issue WWII and a Colt 1911 .45 from the same time. He served in the Pacific driving and working on landing craft to get the Marines ashore.

I also have a Jap battle flag he brought back, along with the rifle the jap was carring when he was killed and a few other ods and ends of war in the pacific..

I've got my great uncles WWII service 1911A1 Remington Rand that I actually used to qualify for my CHL a few years back, as well I've got an old S&W mod. 10-5 Marked MPDC (Metropolitan Police Washington DC.) on the backstrap.
If I get the opportunity and the permission to, i'll try to get pictures and the story behind a couple of guns an old friend of mine has in Sonora, Tx. ( One is News Carver's revolver and the other is the revolver that was used to kill him.) News Carver was a rider with Butch Cassidy who was gunned down in Sonora. It took the old man the better half of his 91 year old life to track down the revolver that was used to kill Carver, he just recently last year found it and bought it.
