Cleaning rod adapter

I lost the 8-32 adapter section of my m16 cleaning kit. Looking online I see what looks to be what I had it States fits 5.56 cleaning rods to use commercial 8-32 standard brushes.

Most rifle ones are. 22 cal Dewey rods are 8-36.

Well I’m confused now
I have the m16 gi cleaning kit and it had a small rod adapter that allowed me to use commercial brushes. I think I’ll buy it and hopefully it works.

It sounds like the correct item so you should be good-to-go.

Since you have the rod, take it down to the local gun shop, academy or wal-mart and match it up, that way you dont have to worry about ordering the wrong part.
