Gun show this weekend in Aransas at the community center. If you go swing by and say hey, I'll be helping out at the table for the Coastal Bend Troop Support Center. We went to set up today and will have a big sign and another flag going up as well, look for the boots.

I got to spend the day with some brothers in arms (Mike - Army Vietnam vet, John - Navy DS/OIF vet, and myself USMC OEF) educating some folks at a local gun show about the alarming numbers of veterans choosing to take their own lives. We also connected with some local vets and let them know about our support group we have going. All three of us pictured have lost someone close to their own hand and we want to do everything we can to help prevent it. We weren't selling anything just there to raise awareness and reach out, you can do the same in your community, Semper Fi.

Felon Shoots Weapon at Gun Range, Arrested

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - A felon in Texas has been arrested after uploading a video to Facebook of his recent trip to a gun range.

The Houston Chronicle reports (Gun range Facebook post leads police to felon - Narco Confidential ) Lazaro Cooper was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a firearm after posting the video. He's barred by law from using firearms because he has previous convictions including assaulting a public servant, evading arrest and possessing marijuana.

Corpus Christi police say he fired a weapon he rented at the gun range and a pink pistol that belongs to his girlfriend.

Cooper's lawyer says his client believed it was legal to shoot at the range. He says Cooper was trying to teach his girlfriend how to defend herself.

Cooper faces up to 10 years in prison.

what? You mean a felon can't shoot guns?

How did that work out for you? I popped fireworks in the front street. No problems... had to hide the fireworks every time a car drove by...lol

Community center next door to the fire/police station. I believe the hours are 9-5 or 6 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday.

We had a good time at the holiday inn on the beach and played some beer pong. I invented this 16 cup 3 person team pong.

Decided late this afternoon to head to the ranch Saturday morning. If weather permits, a dove hunting I will go. Taking my son, father-in-law, and brother-in-law.
