I've got a colt 80 series government model and am wanting to customize it a lil. Want to change the beaver tail grip but want to keep the spur style hammer has anyone around here done this if so what brand did ya use. Also does the front site press in or screw in?

The front sight is pressed in and soldered. You might check Brownells online and what safeties they have in stock. The product description should be helpful as far as, if it will work and how much fitting is required.

I don't think anyone makes a beavertail for a spur hammer.

    I think King's makes a drop-in GS for a spure type hammer.
