just purchased a colt m4 le6920. everything looks good but in the box plastic bag with the book there is a what looks like an extra swivel with a push button type attachment. what is that?? can't find what or where it goes

Did yours come with the Rogers Super Stock instead of the milspec or Magpul one? If it did there should be a hole in the stock where you can stick it in so you have a rear sling attachment point.

Regarding what Grumper said, that QD sling swivel is for the Rogers Stock. the standard LE6920 comes with the accessory clear bag with the manual and stuff in it, and they still have accessory bags in stock with the QD swivel in it. Just consider yourself lucky to get a free QD swivel if you ever need it.

So yes, with the LE6920 you have.. you won't find a spot for it.
