I'd love to be a SAA collector, but at the prices they go for - I'm pretty much stuck with just one. Thought about trading in a gun or two I have to help pay for another Colt, but love all my handguns too much to let one go. I do take my to the range once a month or so to shoot and enjoy. Used to order ammo from Powder River Cartridge Company, but they went out of business a couple years ago. They offered .45 Colt ammo in several loadings, I really liked their 250 grain SWC loads at around 900 fps my fun. I have several hundred cowboy loads from Georgia-Arms, but just ain't the same!!!

    Gunz are icky.
Broken hand or jammed locking lug. Two different issues.
If the cylinder would not spin at all it would be a locking lug issue. Reparable but requires total teardown.
If the cylinder would not rotate as the hammer was being cocked back it would he a hand issue. Broken hand is a common issue. Usually the little spring on it breaks.
Not hard to repair but it has to been fitted by a gunsmith. Not typically a drop in part.

Yes, this was the issue. I can find my way around inside of a DA revolver but, I have very little experience with the innards of a SA revolver.

A SA revolver is very simple inside.

A Colt (or clone) is even more simple than a Ruger Old Model which is less simple than a Ruger New Model.
