Pretty much, I think he just wants an off-topic, off-topic thread that you can just post whore away in. I think it's a situation that anyone can handle by just starting the thread.

well no it's always enjoyable to go into arfcom GD and see "breaking news" and info. that's the big attraction about it to me. arfcom for whatever reason seems to be way ahead of the general media in posting stuff and I think it'd be neat to have something similar on here and since we're all texans(or most of us) it'll swing more towards state-wide news.

We have a news article section that DCortez keeps stockpiled about a mile high with new threads. Some is repeat, but alot of it is from first sources. It's not always Texas related. Is that close?
