When the government repeals the NFA, then I'll believe there may be a good faith discussion to be had. I doubt there would be a 'common ground' for gun control, but I'd be more willing to hear them out.
The big selling point has always been, "compromise", but at what point has there ever been any compromise? Truth is, there never has been any compromise in favor of law-abiding gun owners. Gun owners have always been on the short end of the stick when "compromise" has been proposed for making guns so-called safer.

True, where is this common ground if it's always crossing over to our ground?

That so-called "common ground" is never going to be of benefit for law-abiding gun owners. Just like "compromise" has never benefited gun owners and never will. Gun owners give or have taken from, but are never given anything in return. And we never will.

Compromise is a bs word. Compromising isn’t fixing the mental health issues people have.

It’s another word abused by the left. Like tolerate. You mean you accept people for who they are and not tolerate them? **** the left.

Compromise infers give and take. What freedoms are given when freedoms are taken? That's why I said repeal the NFA, then maybe we can talk.
Exactly! If they decided to negotiate that they wanted to move bump-stocks to being an NFA item, but would remove suppressors from NFA list, and that they could be bought with simply filling out a form 4473 and no $200 tax stamp, now, that could be considered a true "compromise" where some give and take has taken place.

No. Parents need to start teaching those things at home. If this happens, the school will not matter.

Schools went in the ditch due to parents not caring and not being involved.
Amen to that. A great treatise on the woke takeover of our schools can be found in Pete Hegseth’s new best selling book, The Battle for the American Mind.

There’s a reason they’re called “progressives” progress is the root word…it’s not about the one step, it’s about progressing further and further into an ideology.

How is it so hard to look back through millennia and see that every single time a country’s government took away the rights of the people to defend themselves, the consequences have been horrendous..

"Common sense" is nothing more than a passive aggressive tactic to imply that disagreement with the presenter is a form of stupidity. It's the phrasing structure of those who have no actual technical insight to what they advocating for, and wish to shut down any further discussion on the topic. This doesn't only apply to guns. This is anytime. IF you ever hear someone use "it's just common sense" understand they have NO structured argument to support their position.

We can dig into the colloquial definition of "common sense" meaning knowledge gained from experience rather than scholarly study, but none of the anti-gun zealots have any experience in the subject of firearms, self defense, or constitutional law. Fear porn and shame are their only arguments.
