I am sure this has been discussed ad nauseam, so I hope this thread doesn’t cause too many eyes to roll.

I currently use a Crossbreed hybrid or Ramora sticky for 9mm Glocks and a Houston Leather for my j frame.

I acquired a Walther PPS and a Sig P229 recently and would like to branch out in the world of holsters.

IWB, anywhere from hip to appendix... what’s your choice? One gun is small and light, the other is midsize and heavy. Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks guys!

When I pocket carry it's a desantis nemesis. Otherwise it's a galco combat master for most of my pistols. I carry at 2:00-3:00 ish.

    PEMDAS; All,

As my EDC is a 16-shot ZIGANA K (which I like very much,) in 9x19mm, that is about the size & weight of a Colt's Commander.
I'm lefthanded & could NOT find a suitable LH holster, so I asked around on the forum & Mr. ERNESTO HERNANDEZ was recommended to me.

I met with him & he handmade me a VERY nice on-waist-belt "tortilla-style" holster in black basket-weave.

Mr. Hernandez does QUALITY leather work, QUICKLY & at a reasonable price. He will make you what you desire.

You can call him at 10 West Tactical.
    Phone number: 210-370-3016.

NO, I do NOT work for him or for 10W Tactical BUT he will be making my custom holsters & gun-belts in the future.

    yours, satx

When I first started to carry, I used Remora and Sticky holsters.

Since I got my first kydex holster (Dara), I haven’t used either of the soft holsters.

All of my IWB kydex holsters are from Dara. But I don’t think there’s a huge difference between brands.

Always been a kydex fan for whatever reason. All the leather stuff I try feels uncomfortable, which is odd, because leather, right? I can't explain it.

Have a JM Custom AIWB and a Keeper. I tried a Dark Star Hitchhiker once and it was too much.

    All great information! Thanks everyone

    PEMDAS,

Fwiw, you found, by whatever means, the BEST Texas gun forum on the Worldwideweird. = LOTS of real EXPERTS, on a variety of subjects, are members of this group.
(Fwiw, I'm a "real expert" on NADA but learn something worthwhile on almost every visit here..)

IWB for me. Tried leather, not comfortable. Went kydex, very happy!

    Just Holster It, LLC

Great prices, $.01 shipping, excellent service/turnaround time.

For me it depends on the weather. You can pretty much carry anything under a parka. But given average Texas temps what I find I carry most is a Desantis Pocket Shot wallet holster with a S&W 380 Bodyguard. You can carry wearing nothing more than a pair of shorts and no one will be the wiser. There may be something else in an appendix holster or the backpack or under the seat, but I always have the 380 in a pocket.
