I carry a Sig P229 .40 which is a full size duty gun and has a wider frame than a 1911. Usually have no problems concealing it. Carry both IWB and OWB, depending on shirt, but I've done it with both shorts and a t-shirt and jeans and a button down. Don't even know it's there.

Most people think it's too heavy to carry concealed. What they must not know is that a purpose made gun belt does wonders...

Usually carried in the 3:30/4:00 position.

I can carry a Sig P220 in winter time. Just about the same size as a G21. I also have a Glock 30 that I'm selling now that I've picked up a USPc 45. The USPc is my main carry gun, with a G27 for pocket carry when necessary.

If you look at the XD forum, there are a lot of people carrying XD Service and Tactical and the new XDM.

Glock 20 in a comptac IWB minotaur and C-Tac.

Try an XDM 9mm; 19+1 rounds. I have the .40; 16+1. It's about same size as a G17 or 19. Don't have CHL yet, but soon.
