    I've owned a Colt in 9mm.

Never again. It an abomination. 38 Super or 45acp. Never a 9mm. That's what Glock is for.

Dang. I should have sold it to you. Probably would have got another $200 out of it. Colt Series 80 in blue....9mm

Funny thing is, Moonpie has a really sweet 9mm 1911 which started life as a .38 Super.

Started life as 38 Super? Then a Nazi round was installed in an iconic American hand gun? Something John Browning would have slapped someone for.

No way in hell on my side of the fence. I'm out on a 1911, 9mm. I also missed out on a whole $200...

    Damn.

I realize to each their own. I am just fascinated by trends that pop up, and why they do. When I was young the gun market didn't have the variety it did. Now, everyone and their mother is making a firearm, so it went from recognition to trends. And the trends confuse me. Everyone used to love .40 and 10mm and fight about that. Hell, it would become an argument in High School. The .40 had just come out so the News reported shootings with it as an odd round.

It's the wave of the 9mm.

    I've still got a Sig P938 I'd like to sell. I consider that a "1911 style" handgun.

All my 1911 pistols are in .45 ACP or 10mm. I've considered adding either a 9mm or .38 Super 1911. The 9mm is definitely cheaper to feed.

Even though I reload the 9mm is less expensive. Brass is free for the picking up. .38 Super I'd have to buy brass.
