yeah because kicking your shoe at an officer and mouthing her smart ass at him wasn't classified as assault...

she assaulted him clear as day, and i can guarantee she was running her mouth before and/or during....

police deserve respect, when it is CLEARY not given you get what you give...

was it a little too far... you can't tell from the video angle, she might have had him by the nuts and he was going for her head to let him go...

the news side of these things is never biased towards the officer, only the innocent little 15 y/o girl ( that did something bad enough to be in jail in the first place...)

Are you serious? I understand wanting to stand up for your fellow police officers but damn, that is way over the line. She barely flicks her shoe at him, it hardly even makes it out of the doorway. If we get to see the hallway view I bet the shoe doesn't even touch the officer. The don't even go in until four seconds after that, they must have really felt threatened by the shoe.

And a fifteen year old gear mouthing off classifies as assault? Next time a young teenager mouths off to me I'll be sure to remember that it's justified for a grown ass man to punch the kid in the face twice and throw her to the ground by her hair. Is that how they taught you in police academy to stand up handcuffed suspects? By the hair?

I don't know what video you watched, but on this video angle you can clearly see she doesn't have him by the nuts. She turns away from the officer and is getting hit from behind. And her hands are clearly out in front of her as she attempts to brace for impact against the wall she is about to get face planted into.

Thousands upon thousands of Policemen do their duty every day 24/7. One gets out of hand and they are all bad, and too stupid to do a job you are not brave enough to do. When you are willing take the abuse until your head is going to explode, come back and talk to me. Until then continue living via you tube.
Washington state is one of those socialist encampments that celebrate fools like this chick. There is an old adage that says "An officers peace cannot be disturbed," but the shoe is assault even in Washington's leftest law book. Did he go to far probably but he was not alone so did she. The best thing that could come from this is her parents beat her ass until she does not want to be arrested anymore or assault the Police. But that won't happen and she will be a poster child and the officer will end up doing something else for a living.
Did you notice how what she was arrested for was never mentioned in the story. The fact that she may be a criminal puke is always left out. No she is just a poor 15 year old that is undoubtedly stupid as a rock. Her parents need some jail time for failing to teach her to not break the laws or throw shoes at Policemen. IMHO

i'm not a LEO, yet...

/snip/

...they need to have some sense knocked into them
And let's hope with your "tude," youngster, you never will be.

You say you have some daughters. Well just so happens I was a Drill Sergeant for a few years. How would you react if I drove one of your daughters up into a brick wall because she was "lippy?" How about a couple punches to the back of the head after I zip-cuffed her? Hauled her up by her hair?

Holy crap, if we could've beat the sh!t out of every iraqi that called us names on a patrol...

You don't need a license to carry, you need therapy.

"Verbally assaulted?" Whatever. You have a lot of maturing to do, guy.

I don't care if she was arrested for spraying painting "fag" on the cop's car. Determination of guilty or innocence is up to a court. Sentencing is a judge's job. Until then, she is innocent. Plain and simple. Not a cop's job to pass sentence.

do a job you are not brave enough to do.
Every farmer, fisherman, and public accountant should hang their head in shame. F-ing Wussies!

Now don't get me wrong, I've met my fair share of people that needed a beating. Some were MUCH smaller than me too.

However, those two cops, you, and I, will have to agree to disagree on what constitutes bravery, decency, and responsibility.

You all know I am a strong LEO supporter, but this officer (from all we can see and the information we have available) was out of line and behaved in an illegal manner.

He will pay.

That said, I don't see threads here about other people from other professions behaving illegally or badly. Nor do I see threads about the wonderful, brave and good things that officers do.

For some of you, your prejudice is showing.

You obviously have not seen my other posts on public policy, politicians, political correctness, etc.. I don't think I have been overly disrespectful towards LEO til now...

/rant on

I do view the police in the same light as bullies and wife beaters.

I avoid the police like the plague. My defense? I obey the law. Also, I avoid charity work, socializing, or even standing on a street corner when a LEO is present. The only place I knowingly visit, where they are present, is the shooting range and the bank.

Am I ashamed of my prejudice? No. Do I expect you to agree with me? No.

What would you have thought if the 2nd cop physically attacked, or even shot, the 1st cop for his actions? What are we to think about the 2nd cop not stopping the 1st cop?

In the end, wrong is wrong. What happened to that girl was wrong. Being a police officer gives you no right to break the public trust.

A lot of anti-cop rhetoric but few willing to don the uniform and go into the dark scary places after the bogie man. Until you have walked a mile in my shoes STFU!

With that off my chest, It certainly appears the officer was wrong. IF that tells the whole story or at least a substantial part of the story, the officer should be prosecuted and given counceling for his anger management issues while he is serving about 10 years.
