Dog didn't seem threatening to me. Looked like a "okay, I'm the dog here, I'm going to bark but would rather be taking a nap" type of bark

Dog should have been leashed, blah blah blah ... on to the story

I got to agree with you, DC. I was annoyed that the camera was covered up when they shot the dog. It didn't sound like the dog was being aggresive.

It really bothers me how they kept tasering it when they were dragging it to the truck.

As an Animal Services Officer I think the person with the snare pole needs more training on how to be an ASO. There was no need to taser that dog once much less twice. Improper Training.

I agree. I've been a dog owner pretty much my whole life, and that dog did not look aggressive. Looked like he was a big dummy who liked to hear the sound of his own voice. And yelling at a barking dog, especially one that doesn't know you? No, it's not like that just encourages it to bark more.

IMO, Tasers have become something that gets used way too quickly before any other options have been explored. Betcha a thousand bucks that if they'd approached the dog with a couple of biscuits, he'd have let them leash him... :hammerhead:

Why use a soft glove when you have a sledge hammer? That would have been too easy.

Yep, and that's my problem with the way Tasers are used. They're winding up as the easy way out. "Talk to someone and calm them down? Nah, just give him a jolt."
