Then I would suspect that she does not have covid.

    You so sure?

I know nothing of the above poster’s case, but if they had suggestive imaging findings, lab findings, and a history, then I probably would treat the patient as having COVID despite a negative test.

The tests aren’t perfect, and its very likely at some point there isn’t viral particles to detect.

Look at figure 1 in the above link.

This is where antibody testing would be helpful. . . if I trusted the antibody test to be specific which I’m not sure on.

I was on a phone meeting and someone asked about a patient who had 5 negative tests, then a 6th one that was positive. . . .wth do you do with that? Were the first ones false negative? Was the last one a false positive? Did the patient get infected while in the hospital?

Yep, it's time to get things back to normal. CV19 was blown way out of proportion. Part of me believes some of it was purely political to further some self-serving agenda to discredit, or undermine Trump. I wouldn't be surprised at Trump Impeachment 2.0 coming from the socialist liberal Democrats over CV19.

Want to trample CV19? Get outside, get some sunshine and fresh air! Bad weather and being cooped up inside for too long will make anyone sick and depressed.

My thoughts? I think my odds of being struck and killed by lightning are much greater. I also figure if I get it and die, then it was my time to go. I figure my odds are much greater at surviving CV19 even if infected are still greater than the odds of dying from it.

It's time to get back to work and living. Lets help Trump get the economy back on track. If anyone can turn this around, it's Trump. I promise you, there isn't one liberal, progressive, socialist Democrat that can. Obama and Biden had eight years. What did they do for our country? Nothing good.

Trump for the win in 2020!

Of course I’m not sure. But if I was tested 5 times and came back negative all 5 times I would suspect that I did not have whatever they were testing for.

I have a family friend who spent 21 days in the hospital, mostly on a ventilator. She tested negative for Covid 19 5 times.

Ok, I'll be the one to say it. (And I ain't pointing fingers, just observing some healthcare professionals comments)
Looks to me like the front line hero worship is going to some folks heads. Therefore, everything is Rona.
The symptoms are updated more often than I change underwear. The symptom list is looking like a CVS receipt.
It's bad. If you're dying, this shit will kill you.

One would think. Her Doctor apparently insisted she must’ve had Covid 19.

Luckily she survived and is out of the hospital now.

She was given a lot of fluid in the ER before she developed pneumonia

So, evidently there are like 80 "wet markets" in New York.
    Who'd a thunk.....

Yup. Seen a couple in China Town when we were there over Thanksgiving. I don’t think an NUC wet market is the same as a Chinese One.

Betcha there’s a more than a few in San Francisco and LA, too.

Yeah, I'm sure the animals sold are nothing similar, lol.
I was just surprised to find out.
But, it stands to reason they're probably everywhere.
