CORPUS CHRISTI — A man with 22 previous convictions in Nueces County now has three pending charges after being arrested early Saturday by Corpus Christi police.
Officers were called to the first stabbing at 2:50 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Niagara and Guadalupe. A 36-year-old woman told police she, two men and another woman left a local bar at closing time and were on the way to a residence to continue drinking when one of the men became enraged, pulled a knife and slashed her across the left side of here face, leaving a 3/4–inch cut.
Ruben Garcia Vega Jr., 38, was arrested for aggravated assault and is in Nueces County jail on a $35,000 bond.
