New member here, hoping to get the low down on the San Antonio area before I move there this summer. Everybody I speak with has nothing but good things to say about SA (and Austin).

I'm a former US Army intel NCO who came to his senses and got a job with the US Air Force. They've shuffled me around the world for the past few years. Now it's time to come back to America... and it don't get much more American than Texas!

Just about anywhere you move in Texas is gonna have you feeling better than someone living anywhere where else in the country.

    It's a beautiful place, enjoy.

I Live in Cibolo (near SA) and I really like it here.

Plus you'll have BAMC and all of the other bases handy here. Pretty good living for an Army / Air Force guy.

I'm actually a civilian Air Force employee now, so living on any post or going to BAMC aren't really options.

I Live in Cibolo (near SA) and I really like it here.

I'm currently looking at houses in Cibolo and Schertz, leaning a little more toward Cibolo. Looks like a great area and pretty convenient since I'll be working at Randolph AFB.

Everybody, thanks for the warm welcomes!

Welcome to the forum and to the Alamo city. If you move to Schertz or Cibolo you will want to check out Dietz shooting range near New Braunfels.
