I'm content with the company of my wife and the dogs. I do have a few very close friends, but over the years, I have become more selective kin choosing them. Those few are people I trust without hesitation, or reservations.

I have been shafted and screwed over in the past, by people I mistakenly thought I could trust. Those were hard lessons learned, and haven't been forgotten.

I have more faith and trust of animals, than I do of most people!

Did you read the part about "Even if they are only reporting half, that is a LONG way from a million."??

Apparently not. Read again before posting that kind of crap.

Yeah I read it and my statement still stands. It's a BIG country. I sure they aren't reporting the Hui and Uyghur infections/deaths. Nor are they counting/reporting 95% of them. It's all about face.

China is "reporting" 81,154 infections with a population of 1.4 billion people. An infection rate of .005%.

Italy is reporting 35,713 infections with a population of 60 million. An infection rate of .05%

Doesn't seem like a big difference. But it's an order of magnitude. China has also had the infection going for longer.

If I had to guess, China is reporting less than 10% of the cases.

They’re now reporting “no new cases” which is, quite likely, statistically impossible.

The US had 129 cases two weeks ago. We're over 8700 cases now. And that's with limited testing. It's estimated between 50,000 and 500,000 people in the US have already been exposed to the virus. Since 80% have little to no symptoms, thats possible.

Hopefully the malaria drug and plasma treatment works and will be available ASAP. It's a scary thought to get sick for which there is no treatment except put you on a ventilator and hope/pray your body's immunity system is strong enough to beat the infection.

That order of magnitude thing again. That comes back to bite ya real quick.

As far as treatment, there's not much they can do to treat most respiratory viruses.
