Most SASS sanctioned matches require 2 Single action Pistols, a lever or pump rifle based on a pre 1900 pattern, and a shotgun, either double barrel coach gun, 97 pump or 87 lever gun. I wish I would have seen this before now. I just inherited a Rossi Overland double barrel coach, bought a Winchester 94 30-30 lever. Would have given me something to do since there was no college football on !

the Misfits will shoot again the fourth full weekend in Jan. A lot of clubs restrict the rifle to a pistol caliber rifle, but those that have the room have what is called "Cody-Dixon" that allows you to shoot the "big bore" rifles at 80-120 yards.
