Jones has owned them forever. (it seems) I don't know the dates.

And the Cowboys go through this cycle all the time. They'll have a string of awesome years, then a string of crappy years, then awesome, then crappy. This string of recent years reminds me of the 3-13 season

I really only root for them out sentimental reasons as I really enjoyed watching them in the 70's with my dad, but frankly I enjoy college games a lot more these days.

It's not all Jones. He owned the team in the early/mid 90's when they won the SB 3 out of 4 years.

The downfall started when Jimmy Johnson left as their coach.

Dallas Cowboys

It seems to just make me more and more angry, year after year, watching them almost get a decent team together. Although the glory days of Staubach and Aikman are over, I still find myself suffering through every game I can catch on TV. It is probably not good for my blood pressure but I will always be a cowboys fan. I don't blame Jerry Jones or any one person. Some of the big money guys weren't worth the big money and coaches like Switzer and Campo sucked royally. Either way I will keep watching and hoping and relishing the few good plays they make in each game.

I've been a Cowboys fan for as long as I can remember... I loved them when Landry was there. Other than the Jimmy and Troy years, they have sucked ever since. IF they make the playoffs, it will be one and done for them.
