Craigslist iPhone deal leads to shootout - Houston Chronicle

They arranged a time to meet to buy the phones. During the transaction, one of the men pulled a pistol and placed it on Ting's head and demanded money. Ting told police that he cooperated and raised his hands above his head.
Chen told police that at the same time the other robber demanded money at knife point, the document states.
When both attackers turned their attention to Chen, Ting produced his own pistol and told them to stop. Both Chen and Ting are concealed handgun permit holders. The three robbers then ran from the scene.
Ting and Chen chased after their attackers. One of the attackers fired at the men, who then fired back, the document states.

After you pulled the gun and they took off running, there would be a call to the cops and end of story for me.
Glad things worked out for the victims though.

I know, I've lived in both places and am in Oak Cliff in Dallas right now (temporarily). Dallas doesn't even compare; Houston's the most crime-ridden city in the state. Worse than that, all their sports teams suck.

I'm sure Bubba in prison's going to sodomize plenty of regret into 'em before they get out.
