Hello everyone. Well, it seems this idea is beginning to gain momentum so lets see what happens. I am awaiting my C&R license and some other board members and I were toying with the idea of a group buy on a crate of 20 Mosin Nagant rifles. The basic details are that it costs $2600 plus shipping which works out to $130 a rifle. The crates are shipped from stockpiles in Russia to the importer to us. Basically, these rifles were refurbished, and packed away sometime in the 1970s. They have been sitting there ever since. As I understand it, the rifles will all be M91/30s. The crate could contain some rare Mosins, or some lightly damaged ones. I have never heard of them being in unshootable condition some might just have stock damage. I would recommend doing a through look over and checking headspace before firing any however. Most likely, the crate will be full of the usual M91/30 refurbs.
Personally, I'd like to look over a crate of these rifles at least once in my life, and I'm hoping there will be something interesting to add to my collection. Maybe this sounds appealing to you, or maybe you just want to pull an old ass Russian gun out of a box of cosmoline, clean it and then make it go "boom". I'm kind of into that too. If enough people want to participate we can order one and I can have it delivered to my house. We can figure out a far way of divvying up the rifles. If enough people are interested I'm not against a random one rifle one person deal, but if it's just a few people, I'm not against a pick and choose approach. So how about it? Let's see if anyone is interested.

To get you excited here is a picture of my first M91/30 that I got when I was 19.
