Sounds like an easy way to inflict a slow death on several animals...

Sounds like a good way to start a grass/brush fire.

unethical hunting... do it right, slide fires are toys- don't bring them when real work is being done.

I agree that you would be better served without it, but I don't discount the scenario. Several times I have been that close and much closer. Then again I'm usually chasing them down on a 4 wheeler.

Work is irradiating an invasive species.

Hunting is going out to procure food.

One, I couldn't really care less if the kill is quick. The other I do.

Of course, but not eating them is not the same as letting them die a slow death.

    Hogs are destructive as hell.

I wouldn't take a shot at a running deer but it happens often with hogs. It happens because the reason is to get rid of as many as possible. If that means a slow death for some, I'm ok with it.

That said, if I'm out to shoot 1 hog then I'll do my best to drop it right there.

Texas is at war with hogs. War can be ugly.

It's a numbers game. I have days where I want meat and days where I want them all dead. More hogs hit, greater chance of killing more. Killing 1 pig accurately doesn't hurt the population
