Took it out today @ Hot Wells, 50 yard range.
And shot these groups:
^^^Target above.
Upper Left: First target after sight in. 4 shots (Hornday 20 Gr. XTP.)
Upper Right: Winchester 17 Gr. VMAX 5 shots.
Lower Right: 5 shots Hornady 17 Gr. V-MAX
Lower Left: 5 shots Hornaday 20 Gr. XTP
Center: 5 shots Hornaday 20 Gr. XTP.
Got bored and started shooting where the lines intersected at one round per line.
^^^Target above.
Upper Left: My Son 15 rounds...
Upper Right: 5 shots Hornaday 20 Gr. XTP.
Lower Right: 5 shots Hornaday 20 Gr. XTP.
Lower Left: 5 shots Hornaday 20 Gr. XTP
Center: 5 shots Hornaday 20 Gr. XTP.
Needless to say I'm happy with the performance of this rifle.
1st the scope. The Weaver is nice and clear. Setting up the scope with no parralx is awesome, it can go down to 20 feet and up to infinity.
2nd the trigger: The set trigger is awesome off the bench. Nice, crisp, no creep, Still a bit heavy but I've not touched it yet, just running it out of the box.
3rd Action: Smooth good feeling action. Really like it.
4th Wood: Didn't win the wood lottery, got a plain Jain stock but it's nice enough.
Summary: If you don't have the money for an ANSCHÜTZ but still want something that can't be found at most big box sports stores the CZ is the way to go.
