A gun shot through the fuselage of an air borne plane WILL NOT cause explosive decompression and "eject" everyone from the plane. A large hole created by a small explosive device will.

A bullet hole in the side of a plane will cause decompression to occur and set off an alarm in the cockpit. Pilots can then take corrective acti on and air masks may deploy.
