Anyone going or interested in putting together a team?
I have done this for several years, and as a veteran, I can tell you that it can be emotional and rewarding.
it is a great way to honor those who gave all.

I believe the total trail is a 20 mile loop, but people walk less or more. There is even a 24 hour challenge. I usually carry a backpack with snacks and water, tho there are hydration stations setup every couple of miles. i will try to carry pics of my grandfather, dad and a few friends. There is a team made up of the remainder of a unit, that carries a large section of an oak tree with the names of their fallen brothers burned into it. It’s pretty amazing. I cant walk fast as I have a bum leg, but have always walked the loop.

For those that can’t make it, you can go to the website, and start a storyboard to honor fallen military or first responders.then they have a parade to place the storyboards along the trail. It’s awesome
