So Halloween night I went to a concert and met a pretty young lady from Dallas. She was supposed to be coming back down to Austin in two weeks to hang out however she canceled. I found out a few days later she backed out because of this incident. The man was her boss.

What I find very interesting is that statistically in the vast majority of hunting fatalities in the US(75%+) have something in common. Individuals in the age groups of 25- mid 30's and withing 50 yards from a vehicle if not in the vehicle.

Pretty silly decision he made with the gun and it cost him his life but remember we are all just people and people make mistakes. The guy that had the gun in his hand was his best friend and he more than likely is suffering to an extent most of us could not comprehend. Mitigate your risk though by following as many safety rules as possible and these stories can be avoided.

Say a prayer for the family and friends.
